Green Ink ~ A family affair: Founded by my mom, Bee Givan, in 1972.  Green Ink has evolved over the years into a regional mainstay for women who want to dress well without too much fuss.  Our mission has always been to help you look and feel your best every day, and for every occasion. Since my Mom’s retirement in 2013, I have worked hard to carry on that tradition. I’m constantly searching for new vendors to carry in the shop and also working with our favorite designers to make sure we have the best selection around!

~ Bethany Mazza, Co-Owner & COO

We are located in historic WICKFORD VILLAGE, a coastal seaport situated on Narragansett Bay in North Kingstown, AND in Wayland Sqaure on the EAST SIDE OF PROVIDENCE, a mile away from Brown University and RISD. Both locations are near great shops, restaurants and views. So come and explore our neighbourhoods!

Simply put – at Green Ink, we are here to help.

Back Story

1972-1978
5 West Main Street, Wickford

Green Ink was founded in 1972 by Betty (Bee) Givan as an artist’s studio making handmade leather handbags and accessories.  While attending craft and apparel shows to sell her work Bee began buying her favorite things to sell in the studio along with her own work.

This screen print from 1976 is by Tom Sullivan — one of Bee’s artist friends at the time.

1978-1987
11 West Main Street, Wickford

In 1978 Green Ink moved a few doors down into a larger store and began carrying an expanded selection of clothing, shoes and accessories. During this time Bee’s daughter Bethany began working in the store (when she wasn’t in school) specializing in jewelry and accessory buying.

1987-2009

In 1987 we had the opportunity to expand even further into an old hardware store building in town. Over 22 years in this location gave us the opportunity to hone our craft and offer the best quality and style. In July 2008 we purchased the  building at our current location allowing us to expand yet again.
